The new truck! We decided to trade in our lovely problem truck and get a new one. It's a 2007 Dodge 2500 Ram Mega Cab. Ryan likes it because it's blue and has a cummins, Heather likes it because it has a ton of room and actually starts every time! (Unlike the last one we had!) It has a ton of room in the cab, with a bench seat in front so if we ever decided to have one more kiddo we could all fit! You can practically kneel on the floor in the back seat to get kids situated, there's SOO much room back there! Which is actually what we do sometimes, since we haven't gotten the nerf bars for it yet! It's tall! Heather has to practically high jump to get into the thing, but accessorizing will follow shortly (nerf bars, tanneau cover, etc.). We absolutely love it. It has everything we need and more, and room to grow. Isn't it pretty?
Emmalee, Blake, and Ryan tracking Santa online Christmas Eve. He was just getting ready to start his North American deliveries!

For Christmas this year, we spent the weekend before at a resort in the Big Horns with Ryan's family. We spent actual Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at home and went to Ryan's sister Shannon's house for Christmas dinner. Our intention was to leave for Idaho the next day like we always do but the roads were horrible, so we decided to wait until the next Monday. The roads were a little better then, and so we took a trip to Idaho to visit my family. Ryan had 2 whole weeks off of school this year, so it was nice to be able to take some family time and just chill for a few days
We spent New Year's Eve in Idaho and not one of us actually stayed up late enough to ring in the new year. We were exhausted from the trip. But the kids did do the whole little celebration thing around 9:30 that night anyway! We drove home on New Year's day, and have started to redo the kids rooms! We moved Jarom into his big boy bed and moved him into Blake's room. So now Emmalee has her own girly room! We're doing Emmalee's room princess and pink (of course! Would she have anything else?) and are going to make the boys' room race cars with blue and silver and maybe a little red. Heather has been spending a lot of time outlining and painting princesses and will start on Blake's Lightning McQueen images sometime this week. The kids are excited to see their completed rooms and are having a hard time being patient with it taking a while! Oh well. We had a good holiday season, hope yours was fun too! Happy New Year! 2009!
