Little 2 and a half year old Jarom is talking up a storm these days. We went and brought daddy lunch at work today because he left it at home on accident. Jarom loves to draw on the whiteboard while we're there. Today he drew a picture of a "whiten a keen wayce" (jaromese-lightning McQueen race!) Too cute. As he was setting the dry erase marker in the marker tray that is at the bottom he looked at the gap between the two boards and exclaimed "The bridge is broken mom. We have to fix it! Where's the missing piece? It's missing a piece of the bridge!" One of Ryan's coworkers was there at the time and just thought he was way too cute. She commented that he was quite a livewire. You have NO IDEA lady! Here are some things I had to say to Jarom today--just to give you an idea of how much of a livewire he is.
"Please climb down off of the piano Jarom."
"Don't you dare dump that on the floor Jarom!" (box of cereal)
"No spitting! We don't spit!"
"Let go kiddo--you're choking me!"
"No, no, no-- drop the DVD mister!"
"Get down OFF that table!"
"No, no! You can't push that down the stairs." (the dining room chair)
"No wonder it's so hot in here!" (He'd turned the knob on the downstairs portable heater--kidsafe, but it has a thermostat on the back that he can move)
...And that was just the tip of the iceberg. I can't even remember everything he got into today. But at the same time, he's my cutie cuddly boy. He just wants to be around me all day long. He wants to be held and cuddled and played with. He gives wet juicy sloppy kisses and has a smile and a laugh that just tugs at you. I can't believe my baby is 2 and a half years old already. I'm torn between still calling him baby or my big boy. He's growing up so fast. And it's amazing how different each kid really is.
