This little flower made my week. My daughter Emmalee brought it home from school yesterday. When she brought it home it was just a bud with a wet paper towel wrapped around the base in a plastic baggie. It's part of The American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days. Her teacher sent it home for her. We followed the directions that came with it, and when we woke up this morning, sure enough, there it was--
bright and beautiful. It had bloomed overnight.
This was an especially fitting gift because tomorrow marks a day my life was touched with cancer. Tomorrow will be three years since my mother passed away.
She died of a brain tumor, cancer she fought for 7 years before it overtook her.
Isn't it nice how sometimes Heavenly Father knows we just need a little pick me up?
